The CET is located on the campus of Wheeling Jesuit University. Operating funds are secured from grants from organizations like NASA, NOAA, NFS, ETC.
Projects I have worked on include:
- CommunityAlertOnline/AlertsU: web and cell phone based emergency messaging.
- Selene: a video game about lunar science. And custom research tools to analize gameplay data, looking for the "the learning moment".
- IUOE/RDD online: training modules designed for reinforcing safety in the construction, demolition, and hazmat fields.
- MoonWorld: a lunar learning/exploration experience in Second Life & OpenSIM.
- Storm-E/WV Storm: a challenger e-mission designed to help kids learn how to read weather maps and forecast events in a fun "field-trip" scenario.
- NASA Earth & Space: An online High School science/astronomy class developed for NASA's LE&RN program. Students interact with teachers over VOIP and in a custom coded virtual classroom.
